![]() Many will say that none of these aspects matter in the context of a simple child’s story. What was Keats saying through his characters and the way they lived? Then, the relevance of the entire argument must be considered. Does Keats have the authority to write about Black lives? Next, the deeper elements of the class and gender elements need to be discussed. First, the racial aspect of the story must be deconstructed. This argument can be discussed and analyzed in the following ways. Ezra Jack Keats’s The Snowy Day promotes visibility of black people within the context of children’s literature, but through the eyes of a white male writer.
